Eyeko!

Hello everyone!

I signed up to be an Eyeko Ambassador today, which allowed me to get an Ambassador code - E2764 - which if you use this on their website you will receive a free gift with your purchase! This is always a winner! They offer free shipping worldwide as Gemma (http://www.gemsmaquillage.blogspot.com/) informed me, which is also great especially for those international shoppers.

Just to get the ball rolling, I'm going to talk about the "Magic Liquid Liner", which looks like this:

I bought this a few months back and I use it on a regular basis. Basically, it's a typical eyeliner tip but it's just clear in colour and cleverly allows you to dip the tip into your desired eyeshadow and use this colour as an eyeliner. Now you'd think you would only be able to use it once but this is where you're wrong, because when you put the applicator back into the bottle it 'cleans' the tip therefore allowing you to use it again and again.

It's great, and at £5.00, it's a bargain, too!

Work, work, work!

Hello everyoneeeee! :)

Honestly it feels like I'm hardly home! By the time I finish work at 6 I go to the gym and by the time I'm in there it's 6.30 and then it's like an hour before I come out, go home, have tea and relax! So hectic!

I'm slowly getting there in my new job, but there's really there's so much to learn it's quite scary! It's interesting though I'm really enjoying myself, and I suppose that's the main part.

Emma (Magpiesparkles on YT and blogspot) made a video on how to use her Lily Lolo Mineral Foundatioin. I currently own the L'Oreal minerals and they're the only ones I've ever used - I really like them. But since my current outburst of dry skin from my Benefit foundation, I didn't want to carry on using it (I'm taking it back this weekend) and I have no other foundation, so I had to resort to using my minerals only.
The verdict? I love them! Honestly, go and check out Emma's video, it tells you everything you need to know on how to use and brand of mineral foundation and since seeing it I've seen drastic improvements on how my minerals look on me.

I'm still going to buy a liquid foundation. But I need to stop spending money! :(

Benefit Foundation Fiasco

Hello!
Just a quick update to say that Benefit emailed me back and informed me I could return the product as long as I had the receipt, which luckily I do. I'm going to return it on Saturday, but I'm also going to print off the email they sent me just incase they try and refuse me a refund.

I'm going to have to do the tinted moisturiser thing tomorrow and go and get a new foundation in my lunch hour - my Boots is small and doesn't sell any of the high end products, and I'm sick of the sight of the Superdrug in my town because I worked there for 2 years and I know the products they sell in there like the back of my hand - I know there's nothing I want from there! I'm such a loser haha!

Dry :(

Okay I'm really annoyed right now! As mentioned in a previous blog post, I purchased the Benefit "Some Kind-A Gorgeous" foundation. I've worn it max 3 times and it's brought me out in huge dry patches. I'm very unimpressed! I've emailed Benefit expressing my dissatisfaction in the product and that the lady at the counter who put this foundation on me surely must have known my skin is prone to dryness and that this OIL FREE foundation wouldn't have suited me. They'll do anything for money! She never warned me it was oil free at the time, either.

On a lighter note, I've eaten too much chocolate! I'll be going to the gym all week this week I think! It makes me feel soo guilty eating it as well!

My hair's been really dry recently so after hearing from many YTers including gemsmaquillage and lollipop26, I headed down to my local Superdrug I picked up the Tresemme Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque that looks like this:
(Picture from ciao.co.uk)
It's amazing. You put it in after shampooing and leave for about 5 minutes, and it makes your hair feel really silky and soft. It's really put my hair in better condition! I'm not sure of the ml's as I don't have it right by me but the tub is huge and it's full to the brim with product. Well worth the £4.20. In Superdrug Tresemme is on Buy 1 Get 1 Free at the moment but this offer ends tomorrow! (14th April) so get down there TOMORROW if you want the offer! (I'm sorry for knowing this but I've literally JUST finished working at a branch of Superdrug so obviously I worked there for about half of the current promotion so I know when it ends. They change promotions monthly and they always end on a Tuesday, new starting on a Wednesday... wow whar a ramble...)
Anyway buy this!
I really don't want to go back to work tomorrow :( buy I just have to think this time last year I'd have worked all last week pretty much and then done Friday, Saturday, yesterday and today, which isn't fun. At least I got a long weekend! :) How's everyones Easter been?

Haul

Hello! Happy Easter!!

What better way to start off my blog but with a haul! On friday I went shopping and bought myself a few bits and pieces.

I started off in House of Fraser and purchased the Benefit High Beam highlighter becuase I've such great reviews about this product. I did infact go over to the MAC counter but surprisingly nothing took my fancy, I was after a fluidline but they didn't seem to have any! I also had a quick look at Bobbi Brown and very nearly got the new Shimmer Brick but I told myself to wait as Sleek do a very similar product! Plus I was more after a blusher rather than a shimmer that could only really be used as a highlighter, and seeing as I'd just got the Benefit one, I thought against the Bobbi Brown.

I went into Boots next and strangely enough got attracted to Benefit once again. I needed a new foundation, so I asked the woman on the counter and she sat me down for a "makeover" type thing. She put the "Hello Flawless" powder on me, which I do have to say looked really nice and natural but I'm a sucker for liquid and expressed I prefer more coverage and couldn't rely on just a powder, so she went and got the "Some Kind-A Gorgeous" cream foundation, which adapts to your skintone and I much prefered this and at just under £20 I thought why not?

I've only worn it a couple of times so it's too early to do a full blown review but I've had nothing to complain about so far.

I did need some new brushes, so I got the Benefit foundation brush and their angled brush. I love them both, the foundation brush doesn't make the foundation streak like cheap brushes do.
I did also have my eyebrows done when I was there as well haha!

Just to stay along the lines of make up, but I didn't get these other 2 products until the end of the day as I forgot about needing them, I picked up a No.7 blush in 15 Soft Apricot and the MaxFactor Glide 'N' Define liquid eyeliner in black (love this!). Here is a picture of my make up purchases...

Okay, so onto clothes. I only got 2 tops, I was really disappointed but there really wasn't anything that suited me. They were both from Dorothy Perkins and below is a picture of them.

I also got some amaaaazing shoes from DP's, they are peach and I love them. I wore them on a night out last night and they were really easy to walk in and comfy (but I don't know if they were comfy because of the Party Feet aid?) I think the platform on them makes them really easy to walk in.

Okayyy so that's my haul! I got 3 Easter eggs but I've eaten one already, oh dear! Yummy! Gym tomorrow though!
